well, well, well....
Things have changed. Not for the better either.
We have a president who not only admits to, but allows national coverage of, choking on a pretzel. Why didn't every one see where this was going then?
We have a secretary of defense who is "too busy" to personally sign less than 50 letters a week to the families of those who lost their life fighting in Iraq. (*note - he doesn't have to personally write them - just scribble his name across the bottom*)
The president will not be forced to "negotiate with" himself over any thing publicly. Including the way he constantly contradicts himself on every thing he says.
Bush's Approval Rating: 49%
Rumsfeld's Approval Rating: 41%
Rumsfeld is the same guy that goes on and on about we are going after Saddam with all of our might (even as Saddam sits jailed where ever it is we currently have him: "In a speech to the National Press Club on the eve of the third anniversary of the Sept 11 attacks, Mr Rumsfeld began by saying the world just before the attacks was not as serene as some people now suggest. "The leader of the opposition Northern Alliance, Masood, lay dead, his murder ordered by Saddam Hussein, by Osama bin Laden, Taliban's co-conspirator," Mr Rumsfeld said" (Reuters, sept 11, 2004)
I mean, think about it. We are trusting our future & our children's lives to these incompetent fool hardy men who think little more than the current issue (where IS that pesky bathroom?) with any resolve. These men who can't go one speech without making up some words and fumbling over others. These men who can't keep straight which enemy we have in custody and which one is still after us. These men who don't seem to care they look like jack asses to us, the Americans or the rest of the world. These men who make up lies to invade a country where we had no business being, only to sacrifice our sons & daughters. These men should have NEVER been in office and it makes me ill to my stomach that enough Americans were snowed into welcoming them back for another 4 years.
